TwoFromWales.com is the travel blog for a twenty-something couple from North Wales leaving their family, friends, jobs & everything else behind to go traveling, taking in 12 different countries in around 8 months together.
Having met in the office in which we both worked, the decision to go traveling was made after only a couple of months of getting together, and the hard work of saving the money began. A year later, the dream was a realisation as the flights were booked, the bank balances looked pretty healthy and a rough route was penned.
Leaving home on January 14th and flying on the 15th from London Heathrow, the two of us, along with just our backpacks, a laptop and a camera will be taking in the sights, sounds, tastes and smells of around 12 different countries.
A Little About Jemma
I’m 23 years old, live in North Wales. I don’t really have any hobbies, just give me a night out with the girls every so often and I’m happy. I’m not really a shopping and make up kind of girl which is handy because I will not be able to keep up with the trends for the next 8 months and there’s not much room in my rucksack for make up!
I’m very close to my family and friends which makes leaving quite hard, but I know everyone will be there when I get back to bore them with photos and stories!
After traveling around America for 5 weeks from LA to New York it’s safe to say I got the bug and have been thinking about the big trip since I got back from America two years ago. Just lucky to have found someone who shares the same dream, which gave us both the push we needed to get this trip started.
A Little About John
To anybody that knows me, I’m a geek, a bit of a norm and talk all ‘beep, beep, beep’. I’m a web developer by trade, I designed and built this site all by myself. I also enjoy all the usual things a young red blooded male does; a good beer, a decent football match (& we’re talking soccer here), gadgets and computer games.
However, after some smaller trips (possibly only in length & not by adventure), my passion for travel has evolved quite quickly. With time spent in Europe and a few weeks in Vietnam in recent years already under my belt, it wasn’t going to be long before I had the urge to travel further afield for longer.
We’re sure that’s all you want to know about us, but if you want to follow our travels and stay up to date, you’re in the right place. This blog will be updated when ever an internet connection permits. We also have a Twitter account, Facebook fan page and a Flickr account, why not check them out?
